Buckles, webbings, adjusters, fixing parts and seams are
stressed with an axial load applied at 150mm/1' speed up to
their breaking point or fixed value at which they have to
resist without deforming.
The central adjuster is subjected to a 5000 opening
and closing operations to simulate the stress coming by the
real product life cycle.
The adjuster is subjected to 1500 cycles of lifting
and lowering with a 5 daN weight hooked on.
At the end of the test the webbing
slip must not be higher than 25mm.
Measurement of webbing micro slip in adjusters.
The adjuster is subjected to 1500 cycles of lifting and lowering
with a 5 daN weight hooked on it (par. 7.3.1 8853-54/98 FIA
regulation). At the end of the test, webbing slip should not be
higher than 25mm.
Metallic parts resistance to corrosion (salt spray test).
Every metallic part of the buckle must resist to corrosion
caused by 50 hours exposure to a nebulized mixture of water
and sodium chloride.
